Oh my!
This is a prize-winner!
Look how those little feet are crossed! That is JUST how Kinza used to sit when she was a baby! I keep telling her she is more like her Auntie Jeanette (thank the Lord!) than her Mama!

Okay, I'm mystified! I thought I deleted this post because it was just a test, but here it still is! I know! Those feet are so cute! (What happened to them over the last 50+ years???

Okay, C-A...another thought. This might work if I could remove the date and time stamp from the top post and make every new post fall in below it. That does not look possible to me, though...

PS: I fear the blogging bug has bit me! Oh, no! ... Our genes are showing!

Hey J
We can easily work it that you can insert a pic BEFORE the posts but you can't archive them! It would end up being more trouble than you want on a daily basis!

Here's a thought:

Make a label for your pic of the day. Each day when you upload a new picture, simply go in to edit yesterday's picpost, click on the blue link "Post Options" and change the year 08 to 98. Just change the year ten years back -- that way the pics will stay in sequence by day and month. That will drop them all to the bottom of your blog, off the site of the main page but there in the archives and also all brought forward together through the label.

The whole process, once you get the flow, of uploading and changing the date should take 5 minutes max from your day and this is what the exercise is all about -- learning to do it slickly and quickly and get on with the other goodies of yer day!

PS.
Make a note to yourself in your 2018 daytimer to watch that your pictures don't start to lace in and out between the posts you've made in 2008! Will you still be doing post of the day in 10 years?? :)

Well, I certainly like your new thought about changing the year, and the label would bring those all up for anyone to find...Yes, that seems the most logical.

What do you think about the extra 1/2 inch (that is what it measures on my screen) that is accomplished by your work on widening the sidebar? I guess if I'm not posting it there, we don't need to bother...all your work for naught, though.

I like doing it as a post for two reasons mainly: It allows comments on specific pictures, and it allows clicking on the picture to see it better if desired.

Yes, you are one brainy sister! Changing the year 10 years back on the old posts to move them out of the way is perfect, so long as I remember the label, and that should not be hard. Yes, this sounds good. It is a go!! you might think of something better, but I don't have it in me!! That is how I will do it starting tomorrow, and I'm going to remove the sidebar element now. I guess for completeness I could go in at some point and repost with the older dates the ones I have already done.

Go to bed, girl! You deserve a good sleep after all this brainpower has been expended.
