PICTURE OF THE DAY -- 06/20/2008

My Mum!
This picture was taken on June 17, just 3 days ago!
In just 13 days, she will have her 91st birthday!

I had such a wonderful visit in Canada with Carol-Ann and her family and my mother. We had serious talks, weepy moments, laugh-till-you-cry times...just the best visit ever!

Thank you so much, Carol-Ann, Bruce, Kinza, and Mum!

It was a "best visit ever" wasn't it!

Good to see you back up and blogging -- that probably means you are all caught up with work.

I still need to take back all those clothes we bought for Kinza to try on! Hope that one doesn't become a laugh-till-you-cry memory! You know me and how much money I've lost on overdue library books throughout the years!

P.S. I REALLY like your new blogger id photo! That one has to be my favourite of all!

Hi Carol-Ann! Well, I have typed my fingers down to the bone (!!) for the last few days and decided to blog for awhile last night. I am not quite caught up but am really close to it.

Maybe every day I should ask, "Did you take those clothes back yet?" until you give me a "yes" answer!

I'm glad you like my new picture. I cut it out of the one that lady took of you, me, and Pat at the coffee shop. I'm going to post it on Winners soon, but I will probably use it as a pic of the day over here, too.

Now, a little breakfast and coffee on the back porch with my hubby, and then I will have to hit the keys again for awhile...

I hope typing your fingers to the bone means you are working on a book! :-)

Glad you had fun.

By the way, your mother is beautiful!

Thank you, Renae! Yes, she is beautiful, inside and out!

I wish I were typing a book! It is hard to feel creative when you are being fed the words into your ears and out your fingers. My creativity has to come from the excellent page setup, ingenious repair of ruined tenses, and miraculous understanding of mumbled phrases!

Your Mum is absolutely beautiful! I see where you & your Sister get your looks. Mom's are such blessings.

Bursting out with laughter, Louise! Do bear in mind that people probably seldom publish the truth in photos! We are SO selective of what we chose to show!

But you sure made me feel good and there's no law against that there kind of thing!

Well, now, Carol-Ann, I do believe I have posted a picture or two that I felt to be entirely of the unflattering variety, but it is true that I love the good pictures best!

Louise, I'm with Carol-Ann in appreciating how good you made us feel with that comment! The thing about my mother is that her inner beauty is shining out in her face. If any of that can also be seen in me, then it is truly an honor.

(Carol-Ann, have you taken the clothes back yet??)

RE the clothes: "Oh, shut up!"
