Coral watching TV with Elmo
We are starting to have much colder weather, and some days Coral's feet are so cold. I hate it when my feet are too cold, so I know this does not feel good to her. So Coral gets out of her wheelchair and into her recliner to get her feet up a little. Under all those blankets is a rice bag warmed up in the microwave. Even so, it takes a long time for those feet to warm up.
Elmo is always looking for a chance to jump into Coral's chair, and of course Coral loves it!

Oh, look at that smile! I can understand why Elmo loves to sit in her chair with her! :-)
You are such a good, loving mother. Your story made me want to go heat a rice bag and put it at my feet. Maybe I'll do one each for Charis and Foster tonight, though it's not really that cold here, yet.
Hi Renae! Thanks for the compliment! I hope Charis and Foster have cold feet so you can show them how absolutely comfy a warm rice bag can be!
Coral is so funny about Elmo. He is a curious mix of real and imaginary in her mind. She calls him to come and wants to kiss him and misses him if he doesn't sit by her, but she thinks her dad is goofy when he puts Elmo on the toilet or says Elmo wants to eat Coral's yogurt. If we ask her if Elmo knows how to eat, she says no! But one thing is sure, she LOVES Elmo!
Your pictures of Coral warm my heart. What a blessing this child must be to so many. Just think Jeanette, we'll all get to meet her one day! Thank you for giving us this preview of who to look for in heaven.
Oh, Louise, what a beautiful thing to say!
She is a blessing, it's true. When she was in elementary and high school special ed, we would be out at the mall and lots of other places too, and kids would run up and say, "Hi Coral!" so pleased and excited to see her! Then as an afterthought they would turn to us and say, "We go to school with Coral!" It was so much fun for us when that happened!
