Et les cannes, ma petite Grand-mère, pourquoi les cannes ?

If I knew how to make a smiley face with the tongue sticking out, I would! Let's see if I can... Ha ha!

:^

Well, I was just about as unknowledgeable a few months ago as you are! Those are not CANES! Those are hiking poles! They are great for helping on inclines of any kind or rough ground and give your upper body some of the work. Granted, in this picture we are walking on the level ground that Grandma so clearly pictured for Trent's hiking, but later on there was a fairly good hill! Oh, you are just TOO funny for words, Carol-Ann!

Well, aren't y'all fancy, speakin' French.

Hmmm . . .

I speak Texun. Duz that count?

Priceless picture, by the way.

Jeanette said...

Yes, Texan counts! In fact, I understand that a lot better than I know French!

(Carol-Ann, did you have to look up the words for that, or did they come to you all natural-like?)

Ah ha! Old Chinese secret revealed! Good one, Carol-Ann! I shall have to remember this. No Texun, huh?

Speaking of Texun, my second devotional is on Renae's blog tonight. In bloglines it does not show the guest author's name, so if you read it there, you might not realize it is mine.

Renae said...

Plural. ;-)

Renae, I followed your link, and I cannot remember ever being over at that blog of yours before! You are so funny! I love it! I learned a little Texun, too! I will be checking back and will comment next time, too.

I'm so glad, Jeanette! Thanks for the comment. I usually post there on Fridays. Those are the columns that appear every Friday in our local paper.

I was afraid after today's, I might not have a column any more - LOL! I'm usually not political or ranting or anything like that. But they printed it, so it must have been okay. ;-)

I thought your column was great! It is pretty sad when we have come to the point of thinking that if we support and respect our president, that that freedom of speech is not allowed.
