PICTURE OF THE DAY -- 08/19/2008

Last week we had the strangest weather. In fact, we set some records. It was so cold here that we had to turn on our furnace one night! In the middle of August! The high for the day was below 50 degrees.

On Saturday, even though it was still rainy and overcast, Trent went hiking with his friend Mike and took this picture.

I think that must look a little bit like heaven.

I envy your cold weather. It has been too hot to even go outside here, though it did rain yesterday. Praise God, we needed it!

An incredible pic! Strangest weather these days all over the place! Sure hasn't felt like August here either except this week it's supposed to warm up a bit!

Maybe some of our weather will move your way, Renae. Is it real humid where you live? We have been so dry here, even for this part of the country. Then this past week we had three days of overcast, non-stop rain and got nearly 2 inches of it. It was wonderful to have it come down slowly and at the same time have the cool weather so that the moisture could sink down into the ground where it is needed.

It IS an incredible picture, Carol-Ann! I liked it as soon as I saw it... It is as if the cloud is hiding something that no one is allowed to see.

Actually, now that I read your remarks about the fog, I think this would make even a better dustcover for a devotional book! Or maybe you have a cover now for book one AND book two?!

What? Another hint??!! I am sure you are right, C-A. What I have seems such a hodge-podge, though... maybe someday soon I will be able to pull things together...
