My family took a vacation to Colorado when I was a little girl. I was about 9 years old, and I remember standing, mesmerized, looking at a spot very similar to that picture. It was the most beautiful place I had ever seen, and I remember thinking that God surely lived there. :-)
I told my parents I wanted to come back someday and get married at that very spot. Instead, I got married in a beautiful church in Houston. But I'll always remember that moment and that spot.
I love this memory you have! Colorado does have the most beautiful scenery, and I know God lives here!
There is almost an other-worldly feel to memories like that. Little things today can transport me back to another place and time in my memory when my spirit was stirred... it is an intangible something -- maybe like God's spirit talking to my spirit -- that makes me have a teeny tiny glimpse into the beauty He really meant us to have here and has ready for us later.

Can I come and spend my vacation time with you?
Yes, let us both go and sit by that stream!
PS: You are welcome anytime! Just give me enough notice so I can clean my house. You know how visitors light a fire under me to do that!!

That's exactly how that memory feels, Jeanette!
