PICTURE OF THE DAY -- 05/30/2008

Trent (right), his best friend Grady, and his cousin Stephanie
all dressed up at the Junior/Senior Banquet (their school's equivalent of a prom).

They went as a trio and left our house in a limo.
Stephanie was absolutely elegant that day,
and the boys were so handsome in their suits!

Now this gives me jitters!
We are going through the hiccups of grade 8 grad -- tomorrow it'll be from high school!

Exactly, C-A! It just seems sometimes like I am running downhill! Case in point, this picture was taken in spring of 2000 -- 8 years ago already!!

The "head-in-the-sand" technique works quite well for me. I don't want to even think about it.

Great picture!

I recommend your method highly, Renae! You will enjoy the present much more!

My father used to quote the verse "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof" very often. (Good old King James, of course, and that is how I remember it!) Loose translation for me is: "I haven't got it in me to handle today's problems and the ones from next week and next year all at the same time, so stick with handling the problems of today and worry about the rest when they actually happen!"

Excellent translation!

Love your translation of "Sufficient unto the day" ... we do take on tomorrow when it isn't even here, forgetting that our Father holds it as surely as He does us. What can separate us from His love? Nothing! What promises we have to live by.

Yes, Louise! I know we sometimes worry about things that never even end up happening, and even the things that do happen weren't fixed by our worry.
